A house from 1902, three rooms to stay in

Private rooms with their own entrances in a restored Edwardian family home in Claremont, beneath Table Mountain. For a few nights or a few months.

A family home first

We live here. The house was built in 1902, and its wooden floors, sash windows and wraparound verandah are still very much part of it.

Three rooms are set aside for guests, each with its own door and bathroom, around a garden with a pool. We are close by if you need anything, and otherwise leave you in peace.

Book here and you deal with us directly: no platform service fees, and a person on the other end who knows the house.

Where you'll be

Claremont is one of Cape Town's leafy southern suburbs, on the quiet side of Table Mountain. The house is on a residential road a short walk from Cavendish Square, with its shops, restaurants and cinema.

Visiting a hospital

Kingsbury Hospital is a few minutes away, and Groote Schuur and the southern-suburbs clinics are a short drive. A calm room nearby makes a hard week easier, for patients and for family.

Working or teaching

UCT, Newlands and the Claremont offices are close. Desks, fast fibre and monthly rates suit locums, visiting academics and people on contract.

On holiday

Kirstenbosch, the Constantia wine farms and Newlands are on the doorstep, and the city and the beaches are a straightforward drive.

Staying longer

For stays of a month or more, ask us about monthly terms. Juliette's full kitchen makes her the natural choice.
